Bill Clinton’s 2003 Birthday Note to Epstein

Former President Bill Clinton is among several high-profile individuals who sent a note to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003, as noted in a recent report from the Wall Street Journal.

The same journal previously highlighted that Donald Trump had contributed a “Bawdy” message for a birthday album given to Epstein just three years before Epstein was implicated in abusing a girl in Florida in 2006.

Additionally, the New York Times reported on Thursday that it reviewed the list of contributors for the birthday book, which includes Trump’s name.

According to the latest reports from the Journal, Clinton, who left office in 2001, remarked in his birthday message, “It’s not a relief, it’s been learning and knowledge, adventure, and adventure over the years… and having the curiosity like your child, willingness to make a difference, and the comfort of friends.” Some words in his message were unclear.

A spokesperson for Clinton chose not to comment for the Journal but previously indicated that the former president was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities and had distanced himself from Epstein several years before the latter’s death.

The Hill reached out to Clinton’s representative for further comments but did not receive an immediate response.

Epstein passed away from suicide in a New York City jail in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges, but interest surrounding his case remains significant.

This month, the Justice Department (DOJ) and the FBI announced they had closed their investigation into Epstein’s “client list” and found no suspicious circumstances regarding his death. However, a private interview was conducted this week with Ghislaine Maxwell, who is linked to Epstein’s birthday celebrations.

The ongoing controversy surrounding Epstein has led to increased scrutiny in Washington, D.C., especially as the House of Representatives makes preparations ahead of the August recess.

Recently, the House Subcommittee on Surveillance and Government Reform approved several subpoenas related to this matter. These mandates require the DOJ to produce documents pertinent to the Epstein files, and they have authorized Clinton and other prominent Democrats to provide testimony before the House.
