Feds Raid Home Tied to “Tiktok Cult” Pastor

Federal agents recently raided a California residence linked to Rev. Robert Singh, the pastor featured in a Netflix documentary series about the so-called “Tiktok Cult.” This action is part of a broader investigation into allegations of sex trafficking and other criminal activities.

Authorities from the FBI, IRS, the US Postal Service, and the Department of Labor moved in on the home in Tujunga, which is partly owned by Singh. As a result, several individuals were detained, as reported by The Los Angeles Times.

Search warrants detailed various accusations, including sex trafficking, money laundering, mail fraud, tax evasion, and fraud related to Covid-19.

The identities of those taken into custody haven’t been disclosed yet. However, footage from a news chopper revealed at least six people in handcuffs, including a woman with children, at the residence that gained notoriety in the Netflix docuseries, “Dancing for the Devil: The 7m Tiktok Cult.”

Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like a flashbang at the onset of the operation around 6 a.m., according to the LA Times.

Rev. Robert Singh, who established the Shekina Church back in 1994, is known for his role in producing a 7M film in 2021. He allegedly recruited dancers with promises of stardom on TikTok, some of whom became involved with the church and acted as recruiters for the 7M.

Former members have come forward, claiming Singh manipulated and abused them, with accusations of sexual assault surfacing as well. One ex-dancer, Melanie Goldman, stated in the documentary that she witnessed a number of girls “screaming at the top of their lungs” upon entering the church.

Other former dancers argued that the lines between the 7M venture and the church were blurred, noting that Singh had sermonized about the need to sever ties with family members.

Aubrey Fisher, another former dancer associated with the group, claimed she was coerced into giving 70% of her earnings to the church.

A former member, Melanie Willking, who went viral on Instagram in 2022, spoke out in an attempt to reconnect with her sister, Miranda, who she felt was under Singh’s influence. Both sisters had been part of a popular joint TikTok page but decided to leave after concerns about control over the church’s members arose.

Singh has previously denied claims that the 7M initiative was associated with the Shekina Church. He even filed a lawsuit for defamation against former church members who labeled the organization as a cult, as reported by CNN last year.
