Pillsbury: Invitation to Address Iran Again

Michael Pillsbury, a contributor for Fox News, discussed former President Trump’s meeting with Philippine President Marcos Jr. during rising tensions with China and indirect negotiations between the US and Iran.

Social media accounts linked to Israeli intelligence have shared that Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reportedly sleeps much of the day and uses drugs. Many in Iran still struggle with access to clean water and electricity. One account pointedly asked, “How can a leader lead by sleeping half the day and spending the other half using substances?” Social media activity suggests frustration over the state of life in the country.

Although the official credentials of this new account on X remain unclear, it claims to be an official voice for Farusia, the language of Iran. Observers note that the content includes sharp critiques of Khamenei’s leadership and discusses the deteriorating condition in Iran, including poor access to basic resources.

The conversation coincides with reports from the Iranian Tasnim News Agency asserting that they wouldn’t reveal the identity of a new military commander for safety reasons, even hinting that those linked to Israeli intelligence might already know who he is.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced regarding the escape of 27 prisoners from a major Iranian facility following an Israeli strike. The days following this incident have led to various interpretations, with speculation rampant about its context.

A recent post teased a follower who guessed a name related to this situation, inviting personal contact for a humorous “award.” Comments from the account reflect an unusual tone, veering from typical intelligence communications, according to some Israeli analysts. There’s now a growing conversation around the possibility that some of the information shared may indeed have originated from legitimate intelligence channels.

Claims about Khamenei’s alleged drug use have surfaced in the past, sparking ongoing discussion among Iranian scholars regarding the habits of top officials. Reports detail that there’s even a village linked to the production of these drugs, allegedly overseen by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, all while the regime continues to publicly denounce drug use as “non-Islamic.”

Adding to the complexity, many people may not be fully aware of these claims, as discussed by various commentators in the media, suggesting that the realities of leadership in Iran remain obscured to the outside world.
