Former CIA chief: Brennan, Comey, and Hillary Clinton might be indicted

CIA Director John Ratcliffe has indicated that he brought the former Obama administration’s Department of Justice into the spotlight following a release of information related to the 2016 election.

He mentioned that former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former FBI Director James Comey may potentially face charges linked to what he referred to as a “hoax” regarding the election.

Tulsi Gabbard, currently serving in the DNI under the Trump administration, presented two sets of documents last week pertaining to the 2016 election.

Although the documents provide little new insight into Russia’s extensive efforts to sway the election, Republicans assert that the Intelligence News Review is intended to cast doubt on Trump’s victory. Notably, the document does not arrive at a definitive conclusion, instead highlighting Russia’s broad campaign aimed at influencing the outcome.

“This is the reason DNI Gabbard made the introduction, and why we continue to share our rationale and the intelligence that supports the Department of Justice’s capability to address these matters fairly and justly against anyone involved,” Ratcliffe stated.

Gabbard’s release puts ongoing pressure on the Trump administration regarding the files related to the Jeffrey Epstein controversy. This follows a time when Gabbard seemed to have diminished influence within the government.

She asserts that the documents symbolize a “rebellious plot,” yet they mainly emphasize that intelligence officials believe Russians did not manage to alter the vote counts.

What was found by the intelligence community, which backed some of the assessments, was that Russia launched a significant social media campaign in the U.S. with the hope of creating unrest.

Last week, Gabbard unveiled another report that included a classified review conducted by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee. This report questioned whether Russian President Vladimir Putin was genuinely trying to support Trump as opposed to simply causing discord within the U.S.

In disclosing the report, Gabbard drew the ire of Democrats, who accused her of revealing sensitive sources and intelligence-gathering methods.

A bipartisan Senate Intelligence Election Committee report, led by then-Secretary Marco Rubio, concluded that Russia’s intent was to support Trump, reflected in the classified investigations.

Regardless, the Department of Justice later established a strike force to review the details.

Ratcliffe noted that more information will be released soon.

“John Brennan testified to John Durham in August 2020, and to the House Supervisory Committee in 2022. Hillary Clinton was also under oath before John Durham in 2022. James Comey provided testimony before the Senate Committee in September 2020. This illustrates the circumstances,” he remarked.

“So, [Attorney General] Pam Bondi has a Strike Force. It’s yet another effort by the Department of Justice and FBI to investigate how these individuals may have conspired to orchestrate a hoax and fraud against the American people and President Donald Trump,” he added.
