The CIA’s director, John Ratcliffe, hinted at the release of previously classified information on Sunday, relating to what he described as the “Hillary Clinton Project to falsely accuse Donald Trump of Russian conspiracy.” A few days later, on Thursday, he provided additional insights to Senator Chuck Grassley and the public, supplementing the 2023 Durham Report, which delved into the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation regarding the Trump-Russian allegations.
As the news broke, major outlets like the Washington Post and CNN seemed to overlook the story. Journalist Glenn Greenwald remarked that “Corporate Media will not report on these new disclosures indicating CIA/FBI/Hillary Russiagate scams.” In response to these assertions, Rutgers University’s Dr. Richard H. Ebright had a rather bold view, stating that there was “nothing to be embarrassed about.”
The document known as the Durham Annex offers further details about the FBI’s apparent negligence during James Comey’s tenure. It suggests a failure to investigate credible intelligence that points to the Clinton campaign’s involvement in the fabrications surrounding Russian collusion, along with efforts to hide this information.
Key revelations from the annex include:
- Evidence that Clinton’s team conspired with special services to create scandalous claims linking Trump to the “Russian Mafia.”
- Leonard Benaldo’s expectations regarding the FBI’s role, in coordination with George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, to escalate tensions.
- Benaldo’s indication that media could spread fabricated stories lacking “direct evidence” through coordinated actions and intimidation.
- Intelligence suggesting that Hillary Clinton herself endorsed the conspiracy narrative.
- An acknowledgment from the FBI of the credibility of the Clinton Project information, yet a decision to keep it under wraps.
Blaze News reached out to various officials for comments. When asked about the Durham annex, the White House redirected inquiries to the FBI, which did not respond before the deadline.
Former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos expressed that the investigation led by special counsel John Durham relied on “raw, unanalytical and non-treaty intelligence” and was significantly influenced by the Steele Dossier funded by Clinton’s campaign. He claimed that Soros, Clinton, Obama, and Brennan were all aware of the Clinton strategy concerning Russiagate days before the FBI initiated its investigation. Papadopoulos noted that the FBI appeared willing to assist in advancing this agenda and suggested that the recent developments were merely the start of more revelations.
Senator Grassley remarked that the evidence unveiled is indicative of extensive attempts to cover up abuses of power during the Obama administration. He highlighted that while the Steele dossier was used as a distraction, it actually overshadowed Russia’s role in influencing Trump’s election.
Ratcliffe stated that the declassified appendix underscores a fabricated Trump-Russian conspiracy, describing it as a coordinated effort to undermine Trump’s presidency. FBI director Kash Patel emphasized that the public deserves the full truth regarding the Russian conspiracy hoaxes and called the release of these documents a significant step towards accountability. However, some insiders suggest that the FBI still has individuals within its ranks who were involved in the original conspiracy, implying unresolved issues.
