Manhunt for Tennessee Suspect in Quadruple Murder
A manhunt is underway for Austin Drummond, a 28-year-old suspect linked to a recent quadruple murder in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Authorities reported that the bodies of four individuals, associated with Drummond’s girlfriend, were discovered earlier this week. A toddler linked to the case was found on the lawn of an unrelated residence.
The Jackson Police Department reported that they located Drummond’s vehicle, a 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee plates, abandoned in a wooded area near a dead end on MCO Road. Officials believe he might be living in the car and remains somewhere in that vicinity.
“We urge the community to keep their doors locked and stay inside as we search for Drummond,” a police spokesperson said. “He is armed and extremely dangerous.”
The identified victims include James M. Wilson, 21, Adriana Williams, 20, Courtney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15. Their bodies were found on Tuesday, with Drummond’s connection to the victims revealed during a press conference by Tennessee District Attorney Danny Goodman.
Goodman described the incident as a “targeted attack,” emphasizing that Drummond had a complex relationship with the victims, being connected through family ties to his girlfriend.
A reward of $15,000 is currently being offered for information leading to Drummond’s arrest, who faces multiple charges, including four counts of first-degree murder and firearm offenses. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a warrant has been issued for him.
Drummond has a lengthy criminal history. He previously served time for robbery as a teenager and has had several encounters with the law since then. Notably, during a robbery in July 2013, he allegedly threatened a gas station clerk with a gun, which he later stated was a BB gun.
Serious concerns have arisen based on Drummond’s past, including multiple disciplinary issues during his incarceration, such as possession of weapons and violent behavior. These factors highlight the urgency of apprehending him. Authorities have stressed that anyone with information about Drummond’s whereabouts should come forward, ensuring their anonymity.
