School Superintendent in D.C. Seeks Bodyguard Alongside $400K Salary

The principal of a school district near Washington, D.C. is seeking a full-time, taxpayer-funded bodyguard, despite already having salaries that exceed that of the U.S. president.

Michelle Reid, who oversees Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, currently earns $424,146 along with a $12,000 annual car allowance, following a four-year contract renewal by the All Democrat Chemistry Commission last year.

The U.S. presidency offers a salary of $400,000, but President Donald Trump has chosen to donate his salary to various federal agencies.

As reported, job postings on online recruitment platforms show that the district is looking for an “executive protection agent” for its headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia.

The salary range for this bodyguard role is between $84,552 and $143,880, which is notably higher than that of new teachers in the district, according to the report.

The job description outlined by Fox mentions that executive protection agents are responsible for ensuring safety, security, and operational continuity across school campuses, public events, and during official travel.

This role also requires availability during irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Following a recent and highly publicized school board meeting, the Biden administration encouraged the FBI to investigate parents for suspected acts of domestic “terrorism” against school officials.

However, an email that surfaced last month revealed that the Biden White House was seeking a “hook” to pursue parents without actual wrongdoing.

Legal representatives from the Justice Department asserted that parents were exercising their First Amendment rights while protesting school policies concerning Covid, transgender issues, critical race theory, and other topics.

A representative for Fairfax Schools noted that the district has always provided security during public events, and this new position is meant to formalize that presence, though specific threats against Reid haven’t been clarified.

Since she took office on July 1, 2022, Reid has faced criticism over alleged cover-ups regarding recruitment fraud in soccer, the withholding of national merit awards, and more recently, the Education Department’s actions concerning Title IX protections.

Local mothers have raised concerns regarding various district policies, highlighting what they see as a double standard.

“Queen Reid is demanding all the luxuries that come with her position,” said one parent. “It’s one rule for her, and another for everyone else.”
