SummerSlam 2025: Wyatt Sicks keep WWE Tag Team Championship

SummerSlam 2025 Recap

SummerSlam 2025 featured a dramatic tables, ladders, and chairs (TLC) match, showcasing intense competition. Wyatt Sids members Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against the Motor City Machine Guns, consisting of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, along with Ray Phoenix.

The event heightened the stakes with appearances from legendary tag teams like Bubba Ray and D’Von Dudley, as well as the Hardy Brothers, marking the 25th anniversary of their first official TLC bout.

Gacy and Lumis took center stage in a match filled with extreme moments. One notable spot involved Gacy attempting to toss a Ford through a table, but he ended up leaping over it to land on three other competitors instead.

Things heated up further when Gargano performed a springboard DDT, placing Gacy on a table. Lumis followed by crashing through a table with Ford, and Phoenix executed a spectacular frogsplash on Fraser, sending him through a table.

In an unexpected twist, Candice Lela, Gargano’s wife, jumped into the fray, but her effort ended with a painful fall from the top of a ladder to another ladder outside the ring.

The frantic chaos continued as several wrestlers vied for championship glory simultaneously. Beau Dallas got involved, toppling numerous opponents off a ladder and onto stacked tables outside.

Andredo made his presence felt with a stunning Sunset Flip Powerbomb, fighting Dallas off the ladder. Ultimately, the match concluded with Gacy seizing the opportunity, climbing the ladder unopposed to claim victory, retaining the title and solidifying control over the tag team division.

If SummerSlam taught us anything, it’s that the thrill of wrestling is alive and well, leaving fans both exhilarated and eager for what comes next.
