SummerSlam 2025: Solo Sikoa keeps his United States Championship

Jacob Fatu’s Rivalry with Solosikoa Intensifies

Jacob Fatu emerged as a standout in WWE last year, capturing the United States Championship at WrestleMania. Since then, his rising stardom has led to tension with Solosikoa, who now feels like a sidelined player in this unfolding drama. Their rivalry became even more pronounced when Sikoa claimed the US Championship from Fatu at Night of Champions.

Fatu and Sikoa faced off in an intense steel cage match at SummerSlam, which took place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The match was brutal, and both competitors struggled to gain the upper hand initially. Fatu delivered powerful hip attacks and moonsaults, seemingly unaffected by being thrown against the cage. However, Sikoa had some family support that made things tougher for Fatu. Thankfully, Jimmy Uso showed up to lend a hand to Fatu during the match.

During the chaos, Sikoa cleverly escaped and appeared close to victory. But Fatu managed to pull him back into the cage, demonstrating his resilience. Meanwhile, Tonga Roa and Tara Tonga climbed in to interfere, even attempting to restrain Fatu with handcuffs. Yet, Fatu’s strength was impressive; he broke free, making it difficult for Sikoa to leave the cage.

The match reached a climax with both competitors lying near the cage door. In a surprising turn of events, Sikoa managed to slip past Fatu and secure his title, marking his second successful title defense. The outcome was undoubtedly a frustrating moment for Fatu, who seemed unable to overcome the odds stacked against him, particularly with the extra interference at play.

As the competition heats up, it’s clear that Fatu is more determined than ever. His frustration might just fuel a more intense encounter in their next bout.
