Trump Comments on Ad and Other Controversies
“Waking up is for losers,” President Donald Trump stated on Monday.
He praised Sidney Sweeney, a registered Republican, for her “hottest” ads for American Eagle, claiming the jeans are “flying off the shelf.” Trump seemed to relish the controversy surrounding the ad.
“Genes are inherited from parents and influence traits like hair color, personality, and eye color,” Sweeney mentioned in a video for the ad. She added, “My jeans are blue.”
The ad concludes with the line “Sidney Sweeney has great jeans.” Some felt this was a play on the word “gene,” suggesting a link to controversial propaganda. Trump emphasized that he finds Sweeney embodies a standard image of a blonde white woman, making the ad’s message seem trivial in the context of cultural change.
He also critiqued other companies, suggesting they were on a disastrous path.
In stark contrast, the situation with Jaguar is dire. The CEO’s resignation has left the company in chaos. After witnessing their misleading ad, who would consider buying a Jaguar? They should have learned from the Bud Light incident. The loss of market value is unprecedented, amounting to billions.
The former president also criticized singer Taylor Swift, claiming she has lost her appeal after a recent call with her.
“I informed her of the truth, which she couldn’t handle, and I warned others about her. The Super Bowl? She’s no longer relevant,” Trump remarked.
“Things have turned serious. Waking up is for losers, and being a Republican is the way to go,” he added. “Thanks for paying attention to this.”
Trump’s comments about the American Eagle ad were in response to learning of Sweeney’s Republican affiliation, stating that he found the ads impressive.
“I was unaware of that,” he mentioned to reporters.
“But I’m glad you pointed it out. If Sidney Sweeney is a registered Republican, her ads are indeed great,” he concluded, reflecting his typical style.
