Authorities have released a mugshot of the fifth suspect linked to the violent incident in downtown Cincinnati that occurred on July 26. The suspect, 38-year-old Patrick Rosemond, was arrested on Monday afternoon by the FBI and local task forces in Fulton County, Georgia. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of felony assault and aggravated assault as per the Cincinnati Police Department.

Additionally, he has been charged as a fugitive from justice on fingerprint-related charges, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. Currently, he is being held at the Fulton County Jail while awaiting extradition back to Ohio. Records indicate that Rosemond is a resident of Cincinnati and does not have a registered address in Georgia.

The incident in question has resulted in a total of five arrests so far due to a brutal altercation that left six individuals injured, some suffering from serious brain injuries. The authorities are still on the lookout for a sixth suspect.

Footage of the Incident

The shocking video from that day shows a large group attacking several people at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Elm Street in Cincinnati’s business area. One woman was seen being knocked unconscious while others continued to assault her on the ground.

Cincinnati residents are understandably anxious after these viral beatdowns have raised significant crime concerns. It’s alarming that, out of approximately 100 witnesses who saw the event unfold, only one person called 911, as noted by Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Tegge.

Among those previously arrested are Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, Dekyra Vernon, 24, and Dominique Kittle, 37. Matthews originally faced charges of aggravated riots and assault but now contends with two felony assault charges along with additional accusations. He has pleaded not guilty and has been released on a $270,000 bond.

As for the other suspects, both Vernon and Meriweather are facing numerous felony assault charges. Merriweather’s bond is set at $500,000, while Vernon’s is $200,000. Kittle has also been charged with multiple felonies related to the assault and remains in custody at Hamilton County Jail.

The initial court appearance is set for August 8, which will follow as this troubling situation continues to develop.
