A spokesperson from Homeland Security mentioned that Democrats in Arizona might face consolidation charges related to immigration issues. This follows an admission from Arizona Senator Analyze Ortiz, who had alerted her community on social media about ICE activities. DHS Deputy Chief Tricia McLaughlin criticized Ortiz, suggesting that lawmakers are prioritizing illegal offenders over U.S. citizens.
McLaughlin remarked, “Arizona Senator Analyze Ortiz has more vicious cartels, traffickers, and violent criminals than American citizens.” She emphasized that public notifications about ICE operations jeopardize law enforcement and national security.
When asked if Ortiz could face legal consequences, McLaughlin indicated that it appears to disturb justice and highlighted a significant spike—an 830% rise—in attacks against ICE officers. “The men and women of ICE risk their lives daily to apprehend violent, illegal foreigners to protect American lives,” McLaughlin added, asserting that sanctuary politicians like Ortiz contribute to this surge by spreading negativity towards ICE.
On social media, the conservative account “Libs of TikTok” highlighted Ortiz’s warnings about ICE’s presence, sharing a post that noted “ICE exists” in both English and Spanish.
The account accused Ortiz of creating obstacles for ICE by disclosing their locations and urged government officials to take action against her. Reacting to this, Ortiz defended her actions, claiming, “When ICE is around, I warn the community to stay away from the area.” Addressing accusations from Libs of TikTok, she stated, “I am not scared of you or the Trump masked idiot.”
Republican Arizona Senator Warren Petersen responded by suggesting that Ortiz’s actions warrant investigation by federal authorities, as they may violate federal law. Ortiz later asserted that she would not be intimidated and reiterated her commitment to warning the community about ICE activities, criticizing what she described as “Trump’s masked thugs” who terrorize the public.
