Dean Cain takes on the role of an ICE agent to aid immigration enforcement initiatives.

Dean Cain’s Support for ICE Agents

Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman, has shared his deep respect for ICE agents and his decision to support them. In a conversation with Fox News Digital, he revealed that his aim in joining ICE aligns with his earlier commitment to law enforcement from nearly a decade ago.

Cain is a deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer, and he believes in encouraging Americans to actively participate in community roles.

“Our ICE agents are incredible individuals,” he remarked. “They’re a diverse cross-section of America, and they carry out their duties in accordance with laws created by Congress. These laws are about addressing those who are illegally present in the country.”

He added, “If you’re a legal citizen, you have nothing to worry about. However, if you’re here illegally, you’ve already broken the law.”

“I had to stand up with them because I think people get up to change the culture.”

Cain expressed admiration for certain individuals he considers heroes, including former Marines involved in a controversial incident on a New York subway and Dan Bongino, former deputy director of the FBI. Inspired by their stories, he felt compelled to create a recruitment video for ICE.

He acknowledged the contentious nature of the topic, stating, “I know it’s controversial, but I support what they’re doing. People often view it emotionally without examining it critically, and that can undermine the issue.”

Cain believes that illegal immigration has significant consequences on American social services, potentially jeopardizing systems like Social Security and Medicaid. “It can undermine everything we’ve built for American citizens,” he asserted.

Next month, Cain will be formally sworn in as an honorary ICE officer, though the specifics of his duties remain unclear. He expressed pride in supporting the “brave” individuals addressing immigration challenges in the U.S.

Discussing the U.S. immigration framework, Cain proposed that the process could be improved. “We could allow more people in—currently, there’s a cap of 1 million annually—and consider new standards for entry,” he suggested.

He described the existing immigration system as having some peculiarities, pointing out options like lottery systems. Cain praised the idea presented by President Trump regarding a streamlined citizenship process as a positive step.

“The focus should be on the benefits an immigrant brings to America. What can you contribute? How can you enhance this country?” he remarked. “I envision a merit-based system that promotes achievement and provides a more efficient pathway to citizenship.”

Cain supports efforts to address illegal immigration, expressing satisfaction with the current administration’s handling of the matter, yet he hopes for legislative progress to improve the immigration system further.

“I want to see effective changes and hear about laws to enhance our immigration framework. It seems to be lacking at the moment,” he concluded.
