Jelly Roll Celebrates 200-Pound Weight Loss
Jelly Roll has announced that he has successfully shed 200 pounds as he continues on his health journey.
In a video shared by the Tennessee Titans, the 40-year-old country artist spoke about his latest health achievements during a motivational address to the NFL team.
As a dedicated Titans fan, Jelly Roll was invited by head coach Brian Callahan to speak to the players at their training camp before he heads out for a pre-season game.
During the team meeting, he humorously noted, “I can’t go to the field,” adding that he was “closed.” He then shared that he had lost an impressive 200 pounds, quipping that if he drops another 50, he might just land a contract.
While Jelly Roll’s representatives haven’t responded to requests for comments, he has been openly documenting his weight loss journey since December 2022.
Earlier this April, he revealed at Pat McAfee’s “Big Night AHT” event that he had already lost 183 pounds. “I started at 540 pounds. I’m 357 this morning; I’m a baby,” he told the crowd, full of excitement.
He added with determination, “I’m going to lose another 100 pounds and go skydiving with my wife!” Jelly Roll has been married to Bunnie XO since August 2016.
In an interview with Fox News Digital back in May, Jelly Roll opened up about the challenges he faced while trying to lose weight. “Food, man,” he remarked during the 2025 Country Music Awards Academy.
He explained that losing weight has often felt like a never-ending battle, emphasizing his complicated relationship with food.
“If you’re really fighting obesity, you have to start at the dinner table,” he stressed. The struggles he deals with regarding food mirror a prior addiction, which he has candidly discussed.
Many musicians share their past battles with substance abuse, and Jelly Roll is no exception.
Reflecting on this, he told People Magazine last year, “The fight was about food addiction, which has changed the way I view food over the last 39 years.” He acknowledged how difficult it has been to cultivate a healthier relationship with food. Still, he feels that when he commits to discipline, it can be transformative.
In October 2024, during a stint on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast, he explained why he decided to share his weight loss journey so publicly. “I want to be honest about my struggles with people. I’ve been carrying this for a long time,” he admitted.
He continues, “People who get as big as I did, they often feel embarrassed. When they try to lose weight, they sometimes feel lost on how to engage with the world.” Jelly Roll emphasized his desire to be transparent, wishing to inspire others by sharing his experience.
Looking to the future, he expressed excitement about being featured on the cover of “Men’s Health” by March 2026, detailing how he aspires to have one of the most significant transformations.
