Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Reunite for Surprise Performance in New Jersey
Fans were treated to a delightful surprise when Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato joined forces for a performance of “Camp Rock” in New Jersey on Sunday.
Joe, who famously portrayed the pop star Shane Grey in the 2008 Disney Channel musical, kicked off the evening at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford by singing “Gotta Find You.” He was joined by his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, as they celebrated their 20th anniversary tour.
After performing, Joe welcomed Demi, who played Mitchie Torres in the film, onto the stage. The pair continued the celebration with tracks like “Never Change” and “This Is Me.” The crowd went wild when Joe pointed out that it had been nearly a decade since they last performed the latter together.
Demi later took to social media to share an Instagram reel featuring Joe, reminiscing about their past, particularly since they dated briefly in 2010. The post was captioned with “History Book @joejonas.”
In the fun clip, both stars lip-synced to a memorable speech from fellow Disney actress Debbie Ryan. It received warm feedback from Demi’s husband, Jordan “Jute” Lute.
Jute expressed immense pride in a video shared on his Instagram story, saying, “I couldn’t be more proud of you. I love you so much @ddlovato.” He later posted a romantic photo of the two sharing a kiss in an elevator.
Joe and Demi’s brief romance was first made public in March 2010, just a couple of years after their roles in “Camp Rock.” However, reports of their breakup surfaced within a few months. Despite this, the former Disney stars have maintained a cordial relationship, performing together again in 2016.
Joe married actress Sophie Turner in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2019, but they divorced in 2024 after welcoming two daughters. Meanwhile, Demi and Jute tied the knot during a heartfelt wedding in California in May.
