President Trump Reveals the 2028 Olympic Task Force

Anna Kelly, the Deputy White House Press Secretary, commented on President Donald Trump’s recent appearance on Fox & Friends First, where he announced a task force aimed at managing logistics for the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympics, scheduled to take place in Los Angeles.

In other news, Olympic medalist sprinter Fred Curly has been provisionally suspended due to a “failure to report” under anti-doping regulations, as revealed by the Athletics Integrity Unit.

Curly’s lawyer shared a statement on social media, indicating that Curly intends to contest the allegations regarding the anti-doping violations. He emphasized that Curly would refrain from further comments to respect the process and looks forward to addressing the situation with the appointed committee.

Curly won a silver medal in the 100 meters at the Tokyo Games last year and earned bronze in Paris. His accolades also include six medals from the World Athletics Championships.

Recently, Curly faced a separate legal issue when he was accused of assaulting a female Olympic hurdler in Florida. This incident followed a dramatic situation where police had to use a taser on him, occurring just months after an arrest for an incident involving a Miami Beach police officer.

His lawyer maintains Curly’s innocence concerning these allegations. Curly has faced past charges related to domestic violence, involving a confrontation with police during an argument with his wife, according to an arrest affidavit.

Despite these challenges, Curly has continued to shine in his athletic career. He garnered a bronze medal at this summer’s Olympics and previously won a gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in the same event.

Curly is part of the relay team for the Paris Olympics but faced disqualification in a past race due to a failed handoff.
