A recent graduate from Massachusetts, 18-year-old Kylie Monteiro, who was about three months pregnant, went missing following a conversation with her boyfriend.
The Rehoboth Police Department reported that Kylie was last spotted near County Street in Rehoboth on August 7, which is roughly 50 miles from Boston.
Her family indicated they received a text from her on the day she vanished, raising their concerns for her safety, as noted by WCVB 5.
“The last time we heard her voice was Wednesday night,” her sister, Faith, revealed to the news outlet.
Friends of Kylie also expressed their worries regarding her state of mind, pointing out that her last interaction seemed somewhat off.
“She had a vibe of not feeling safe, which now seems wrong. I tried reaching out, but then she stopped replying,” said a friend who chose to remain anonymous.
“I want her to know that we miss her, and we won’t stop searching for her.”
Kylie is 6’0″ tall, with light brown hair and blue eyes. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a red “Get Over It” t-shirt, torn blue jeans, and carrying a white bag.
This disappearance follows just two months after her graduation from Attleboro High School.
The Rehoboth Police Department has initiated a thorough search operation using K9 units, helicopters, drones, ATVs, and divers to scan nearby waters, as reported by Wjar.
Faith noted that the police are actively looking into her sister’s disappearance.
Kylie’s other sister, Katherine, mentioned that Kylie is typically very active on social media, especially on TikTok and Snapchat; however, since her disappearance, there has been “absolutely nothing” on her accounts.
“Every small detail matters, and with so many people likely passing through the forest, it’s possible that something crucial could be overlooked,” Katherine urged the public.
“There are countless scenarios playing out in all our minds, and everyone has their theories, but that’s all speculation right now. We really have no idea what happened to her, but we’re not losing hope.”
