Brother of missing woman introduces new witness in Amy Bradley case

New Insights on the Amy Bradley Case

The sisters of Amy Bradley, who has been missing since her disappearance from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship nearly 27 years ago, have shared new details with Fox News Digital. Their insights come in the wake of the Netflix docuseries “Amy Bradley Is Missing,” which highlights the mystery surrounding her case that unfolded during a family vacation in March 1998.

Amy was last seen after a night of dancing at the ship’s Blue Orchid Lounge with Alistair “Yellow” Douglas, the ship’s bassist and a key figure in the investigation. Her family continues to seek closure while reflecting on their long journey of searching for answers.

On March 23, 1998, Amy was out with her brother, Brad, who returned to their cabin around 3:35 a.m. After a brief chat on the balcony, Amy was still visible around 5:30 a.m. when their father, Ron, noticed her sleeping in a lounge chair. However, by the time Ron checked again, about 30 minutes later, she had vanished, with the balcony door slightly ajar and her belongings left behind.

Following her disappearance, Brad launched an urgent search for his sister and alerted the ship’s crew, but initial efforts yielded no results. It wasn’t until days later that significant steps were taken, including an FBI investigation, which Brad now believes lacked the requisite thoroughness.

During a recent interview, he expressed gratitude for the attention the documentary has brought to Amy’s case, but he also highlighted frustrations over the FBI’s handling of the investigation early on. “In my opinion, it makes people realize that the FBI in our case did not do due diligence to properly and thoroughly investigate,” he remarked.

According to Brad, two additional witnesses, Loli and Crystal, saw Amy just before her disappearance. They reported that she was seen with Douglas at the lounge moments before she was lost to her family. Moreover, a third witness, named Elizabeth, testified that she saw Amy with Douglas and even noted Amy’s unusual behavior when she was last seen.

Despite various reported sightings of Amy in the years since, her family remains hopeful. They have even dismissed theories that she may have fallen overboard or jumped intentionally, insisting she would never do such a thing.

Brad is resolute in his belief that Amy is still alive, sharing a “gut sensation” he and his family have felt all along. “We’ve never spoken about her in the past tense,” he noted, emphasizing their enduring hope. The family continues to await a response from Royal Caribbean as well as the FBI regarding any further investigation into Amy’s case.
