Once again, there’s a clear indication from newly released documents that many Americans have had doubts about for a while. The whole Russiagate situation was essentially a conspiracy—a political maneuver orchestrated by the CIA, FBI, and figures close to the Obama administration. They seemed intent on undermining a presidential election and tarnishing a duly elected president. This, in turn, compromised the very institutions that are meant to protect American freedoms.
Despite extensive evidence and thorough investigations, those responsible for this significant issue show no remorse.
Individuals like former CIA director John Brennan and former national intelligence director James Clapper, alongside other intelligence figures, misled Congress and the public regarding their dependence on the dubious Steele documents—funded by the Clinton Campaign and DNC. They seemed to create various versions of crucial intelligence findings to cover their tracks.
The intelligence community publicly asserted that the controversial documents didn’t influence official assessments, yet the newly declassified review of surveillance contradicts that assertion regarding “Russia’s activities and intentions in recent US elections.”
Records indicate that Brennan and Clapper prepared a classified assessment for President Obama and senior officials, referencing key documents to substantiate claims of Russian interference in elections. However, when this sanitized version was shared with Congress and the public, all mentions of the relevant documents were omitted.
Investigations conducted by John Durham’s special counsel revealed that Brennan, Clapper, then-President Joe Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and FBI Director James Comey knew about the Clinton Campaign’s efforts to fabricate false narratives regarding Trump’s ties to Russia even before the 2016 elections. Still, the FBI pursued an unfounded FISA warrant against a Trump advisor while being aware that Steele’s documents were riddled with inaccuracies, leading to the initiation of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation aimed at disrupting Trump’s campaign and presidency.
Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit uncovered much of this wrongdoing before Durham’s findings were released. Court-obtained documents signaled the weak foundation of intelligence that sparked the Crossfire Hurricane operation.
Additional documents revealed how high-level Justice Department officials were involved. Bruce Ohr maintained close ties with Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS, the latter serving as a channel for anti-Trump attacks, even after Steele was dismissed as an informant due to media leaks. Communications surfaced illustrating how the supposed intelligence about Trump and Russia had been manipulated by the Clinton Campaign and insiders.
And there’s more. The declassification of the Durham Report supplements highlighted connections between activists linked to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation and operatives within the Obama FBI, aimed at fabricating and spreading the narrative of Trump colluding with Russia, even before the official FBI investigation started. Hacked emails and foreign intelligence confirmed this striking cooperation between campaign operatives, federal law enforcement, and the media.
FBI leaders like Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Peter Strzok, alongside CIA heads, knew exactly what was happening. They seemed to have exploited the credibility of the intelligence community to propagate their narrative as if it was fact. Yet they continued forward, tarnishing reputations and creating justifications for spying on the Trump campaign.
This conspiracy has severely eroded the rule of law, leading to illegal warrants, forged evidence, and years of baseless investigations. Recent lawsuits seeking judicial oversight have only highlighted the extent to which courts and the legal system were misled, often without proper oversight or meaningful hearings.
The Durham investigation ultimately resulted in a minor plea deal and few prosecutions. If accountability remains lacking, it could further damage Americans’ trust in government, sending a troubling message that serious crimes in Washington often go unpunished.
The FBI, the Department of Justice, and individuals associated with the Obama administration have orchestrated significant abuses of power and corruption in modern American history. The public deserves justice—not just reports and hearings, but actual criminal prosecutions of those who coordinated and concealed this conspiracy.
Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, and all relevant enablers should face legal consequences. There’s no justification for years of perjury and civil liberties violations. Simply claiming “a mistake was made” isn’t enough. The law has been breached, rights ignored, and democracy put at risk. The acknowledgment of perjury crimes by some is a start, but it can’t end there.
It’s not just about prosecution. The FBI and CIA require fundamental reforms. Trump’s recent executive order aimed at countering the “weaponization of government” is a positive initial step. These agencies have demonstrated an inability to self-regulate. Given the issues with political intelligence and retaliation against whistleblowers, significant restructuring of the Department of Justice and potentially even dismantling the FBI needs serious consideration.
The United States is a republic, not a banana republic. It’s time for accountability, reform, and a firm reminder of the nation’s values. In America, governance should not be left to unelected bureaucrats.
