The Russian model and former beauty queen tragically passed away due to injuries sustained when a moose smashed through her car’s windshield last month.
Kseniya Alexandrova, aged 30, was driving on a highway in Tver Oblast, Russia, alongside her husband Ilya, just four months after their wedding.
She fell into a coma with severe brain damage, as reported by various sources.
Her husband, who was driving at the time, survived the incident.
“It all happened in an instant. I honestly didn’t have time to react,” Ilya shared with reporters.
The accident took place on July 5 as the pair were returning home from Rzhev, according to Ilya.
“There was so much blood,” he recounted.
Other motorists stopped to assist, and despite the quick response of emergency services and being transported to hospitals in Moscow, the head injury ultimately became fatal by August 12.
In 2017, Alexandrova represented Russia in the Miss Universe competition, having previously been a runner-up at the Miss Russia event that same year.
Aside from modeling, she also pursued psychology, earning a degree from the Moscow Education Society University. She continued to work as a therapist until her tragic accident.
Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her passing this week.
“Ksenia was incredibly bright and talented,” the agency stated. “She had a unique ability to inspire and uplift those around her. To us, she will always symbolize beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”
