‘Be Rational’: Chris Pratt Criticizes Anti-Trump Americans ‘Deeply Stuck In Hate’ Who Dismiss His ‘Achievement’

Chris Pratt’s Take on Political Division

On the “Club Random” podcast, actor Chris Pratt expressed amusement at Americans who harshly criticized former President Donald Trump, while also noting their inability to recognize his administration’s accomplishments.

Pratt, who married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019—whose mother is Maria Shriver, a niece of President John F. Kennedy—discussed his views with Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during the podcast. Pratt highlighted that however much Kennedy aligns with parts of his agenda, many Americans seem to dismiss his contributions solely based on his association with Trump.

Pratt remarked, “In politics, you inherit your enemy. It stands to reason that if you associate with someone labeled as the most divisive president ever, you might be unfairly judged.” He added, “I’m not sure what I’m supposed to believe. It’s not like I’m having dinner with Bobby; it feels more like a mafia meeting.”

Pratt raised concerns about the prevailing negativity surrounding political figures, saying, “I hate feeling overwhelmed by disdain for the president, so I often find myself allergic to celebrating any successes from that administration. There’s a rational side to this frustration.”

Kennedy’s HHS managed the development of the Landmark Maha Committee, which aimed to direct the FDA toward ending the allowance of certain unsafe food ingredient labels. The HHS has pushed for healthier food options, leading to significant changes in the food industry. Since April, around 40% of food companies, including General Mills, Hershey, and Kraft Heinz, have committed to eliminating chemical food dyes.

Moreover, HHS has approved natural food dyes for various products, including cereals, snacks, and desserts. The Consumer Brands Association also announced plans to remove artificial food dyes from offerings in public schools by the 2026-2027 school year.
