Brandon Blackstock’s Daughter Reflects on His Passing

Savannah Blackstock Lee, the eldest daughter of brand manager Brandon Blackstock, shared her thoughts after the recent passing of her father.

Brandon, who was also known for his marriage to Kelly Clarkson, died on August 7 after a quiet struggle with melanoma, a severe type of skin cancer. He was only 48 years old.

On Tuesday, Savannah, who is currently anticipating her second child, expressed her sorrow over the loss of her “biggest cheerleader” in a poignant message.

“My dad never made my dream come true,” she wrote on Instagram. “No matter where he was, he blazed a trail for me. He didn’t just help me realize my dreams; he was right there beside me, everywhere in the world, cheering me on.”

She shared that her father had provided her with a “new path” over the last six months, particularly in their mutual faith journey. “He always loved the Lord, but about six months ago, he sought Him more actively,” she noted. “We were on that journey together.”

Savannah added, “He has given me more than I ever thought I deserved, but 12 days ago, he blessed me with the most precious gift I had long sought.”

In a heartfelt conclusion, she reflected, “I lost my heart along with some of my favorite cowboys, but heaven has gained an angel. I love you, Daddy. I will miss you endlessly. Enjoy your ranch, which I know was designed with your heart’s desires.”

Her emotional post included photos of her late father, her brother, her three-year-old son, and serene lakeside moments.

Just a month prior to Brandon’s passing, Savannah had announced her pregnancy on social media.

She had shared that she and her husband, Quentin Lee, were expecting, mentioning, “We’ve had some sweet surprises. A little girl is on her way at the beginning of January.” Savannah reflected on the season of blessings, expressing gratitude for divine interventions in their lives.

Brandon Blackstock had another child with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth, a 19-year-old son named Seth. The couple was married from 2001 to 2012.

Following that, he married Clarkson in 2013, with whom he shared two children: River, 11, and Remington, 9. Their marriage lasted until Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020, leading to a highly publicized and contentious split over various legal matters.
