Vance Advises Musk to Stay Loyal to Republicans
In a recent interview on “Ingraham Angle,” Vice President JD Vance urged Elon Musk to reconsider forming a third political party. He suggested that the billionaire would wield greater influence by remaining loyal to the Republican Party and to President Trump’s movement. “I think it’s important for Elon to try and fix the Republican Party, rather than think he can make a significant change from outside,” Vance expressed.
Vance emphasized that expressing disagreements from within the party would have a more substantial impact. This comment follows reports from the Wall Street Journal about Musk’s latest stance on forming a new party, indicating he is pausing those plans to focus on his business ventures instead.
Musk had previously mentioned his intention to establish the American Party, which he believes is necessary to restore freedom in a political climate dominated by two parties. He critiqued this two-party system as a significant flaw in democracy, positing that it leads to waste and inefficiency.
While some of Musk’s associates have hinted that he hasn’t entirely dismissed the idea of a new party, Vance has characterized the concept as misguided. “It would be a mistake for Elon to pursue a third party,” he stated. Instead, he argued that Musk’s principles align more closely with traditional Republican values, such as law and order and economic growth.
Moreover, Vance denied any discussions with Musk regarding financial backing for a potentially presidential run in 2028, despite media speculation. Reports note that Musk has previously invested significantly in supporting Trump and other Republican candidates during the last election cycle.
