Shiro Sanders Ejected from Preseason Game
Shiro Sanders, the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders and brother to Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedure Sanders, faced ejection during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. This incident occurred in the second quarter when he threw a punch at Bills tight end Zack Davidson.
After going undrafted from Colorado, where he played under his father, Shiro is fighting for a spot on the Buccaneers’ roster. Earlier in the game, he also received a penalty for pass interference.
“You can’t throw punches in this league,” stated Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles post-game, expressing disappointment. “There’s really no excuse. They’ll flag you every time for that.” He emphasized the need for growth following such incidents.
Shiro Sanders, known for his hard-hitting style and playmaking abilities, made a notable debut for the Buccaneers in the preseason opener. However, his latest actions may have complicated his chances of securing a place on the team.
In a moment of confrontation, Sanders engaged with Davidson, and after they pushed each other, he retaliated with a punch that led to his prompt removal from the game.
It’s been a challenging time for the players under “Coach Prime’s” guidance. During the game, Cleveland’s Chedur, who was picked fifth overall, struggled, completing only 3 of 6 passes for 14 yards while taking five sacks.
