Quarterback Ben DiNucci gains attention online after being released by the Falcons

Ben Dinucci’s NFL Journey

Ben Dinucci is navigating the challenging world of being a journeyman quarterback in the NFL. As the new season approaches, he faces the tough reality of being cut from the 53-man roster once again.

At 28 years old, Dinucci entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. He saw some action that year, playing in three games and starting one—stepping in when the team’s primary quarterback encountered injury and COVID-19 issues.

Since then, his journey has been anything but smooth. After leaving the Cowboys, he bounced around several teams, most recently with the Atlanta Falcons, where he was cut shortly after signing.

In a light-hearted moment, Dinucci shared a photo on social media of himself enjoying a beer at the airport, captioning it, “More beer than at the airport. I’ve just been disconnected from the NFL with my seventh ‘beer.'” It seems he is trying to maintain some humor amidst the ups and downs of his career.

Dinucci joined the Denver Broncos in 2023, and had stints with the Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints prior to the Falcons. He also had a notable run with the Seattle Sea Dragons in the XFL, appearing in ten games.

Despite these setbacks, he has shown he can perform at the NFL level. As for what’s next, Dinucci mentioned he’s still involved in activities related to fantasy football, hinting at his adaptability beyond just playing.

“I’m still firing cameos for my fantasy football draft order,” he quipped online, expressing his willingness to remain connected to the sport and its fans. It’s clear that, for Dinucci, the journey continues, filled with uncertainty but also resilience.
