Investigation into Toddler’s Disappearance

A father, accused of murdering his seven-month-old son, Emmanuel Halo, recently participated in a search for the boy’s body in an area near a California highway.

This father, Jake Halo, was seen on Sunday assisting a search team in Moreno Valley, California—just two days after he and his wife, Rebecca Halo, were taken into custody on charges of murder.

In the footage, the 32-year-old appears alongside investigators in an open field as a cadaver dog searched the area. Unfortunately, authorities reported that no remains were discovered during the search.

Rebecca Halo, 41, claimed that someone abducted her son while she was attacked outside a sports store on August 14. She alleges that a stranger knocked her unconscious and when she regained consciousness, her baby was missing.

Both Jake and Rebecca had publicly appealed for assistance in locating their child.

However, following their claims, the local sheriff pointed out inconsistencies in Rebecca’s account, stating that the alleged abduction in Yucaipa “did not occur.” The authorities believe that Emmanuel is dead and a search is ongoing to recover his remains.

Jake and Rebecca were arrested at their home in Cabazon on a Friday, facing charges related to their son’s death.

Police conducted a raid on their residence, apprehending a seemingly disturbed couple, as shown in dramatic footage of the operation.

After the arrests, Sheriff Shannon Dikas commented on the tragic nature of the situation and reaffirmed the commitment to finding Emmanuel.
