Concerns Over Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Move

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s planned relocation to Forest Lodge is raising eyebrows regarding their privacy and safety. The new residence, portrayed as their forever home, is nestled within Windsor Great Park. However, locals from nearby Cranbourne Hall Residents Park are anxious that the new place may not offer them more privacy than their current four-bedroom home at Adelaide Cottage.

“I welcome them,” expressed 87-year-old Jean Reeve, adding, “but I hope they’ll be allowed to live there quietly as a family.”

Impact on Nearby Residents

Another resident voiced concerns about the privacy of the royal family. “From what I know about the area, it’s not much more private than where they were before,” she reflected. “People will still come by and say, ‘Oh, look, that’s where they live.’” She went on to emphasize the need for privacy, especially for their young children.

In response to these worries, measures to enhance privacy have been put into place, including a new metal fence and a black mesh privacy screen, along with additional shrubbery.

Changes for Nearby Families

The move has also led to the exit of two families living close to Forest Lodge. Prior to the family’s arrival, these residents were told they needed to vacate their homes. This came as a shock to many, as they weren’t anticipating such a request. Royal analyst Ian Pelham Turner confirmed that there was no formal eviction notice, suggesting instead that the families relocated to other suitable homes within the expansive Crown Estate Real Estate.

“It’s understandable that no one wants prying eyes around, especially if royals are nearby,” noted a source connected to the situation. The families reportedly moved to equally decent or better accommodations.

So, it seems, the royal family’s quest for privacy isn’t just a personal concern; it’s already impacting those who share their surroundings. Only time will tell how this change will unfold for everyone involved.
