Administration Preparing to Gradually Discontinue COVID-19 Vaccine

The Trump administration is reportedly considering phasing out the Covid-19 vaccine, according to The Daily Beast.

Dr. Aceum Malhotra, who is closely associated with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., mentioned that the decision to withdraw the Covid-19 vaccine could take place “within a few months,” though it might be implemented in various stages. He expressed confusion over why the vaccine continues to be prescribed.

He commented, “You can approach this at several stages, including gathering more data,” referring to the situation.

Malhotra pointed out that there is growing skepticism among Kennedy’s followers regarding the Covid-19 vaccine, stemming from a 2022 peer-reviewed study that assessed “serious adverse events” in the clinical trials for the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines.

He noted that this skepticism is fueled by a 2022 paper authored by a group of doctors and academic researchers, published in the journal Vaccine.

This peer-reviewed study showed that individuals who received the mRNA vaccine had a “16% higher risk of experiencing serious adverse events” compared to those given a placebo.

In early August, Alana Mastrangelo from Breitbart News reported that Kennedy stated HHS would “halt investment and contracts related to mRNA vaccine development.”

Kennedy elaborated that there is a department within HHS called the “Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Agency” (BARDA). He explained that BARDA, tasked with some of the most advanced scientific research, has recently reviewed and started to cancel 22 mRNA vaccine development investments.
