You can almost hear the delighted screams of fans, from middle schoolers to those much older. Meanwhile, I can picture the groans from their boyfriends and husbands. Even former President Donald Trump has commented on this major event in the world of celebrities.

What does this mean for Kelce?
Well, it might signal the end of his career. Although he’s been slipping for a couple of years, now, being engaged to such a huge star is likely to take even more focus away from football. Just think about the wedding planning alone!
Look at Tom Brady; he managed to sustain his career for a long time but at a significant personal cost — namely, his divorce. Kelce, however, doesn’t seem like the type to sacrifice his marriage for his football stats. He lacks that fierce drive that Brady had.
There’s chatter about Kelce and Swift sparking a surge in engagements nationwide. I can see this happening. Couples who have been together for a while might start re-evaluating their relationships. Guys need to be prepared, you know? It seems a bit ridiculous to get married just because a celebrity has, but more marriages can ultimately be positive.

Earlier, I’ve poked fun at Kelce for being more of a pop culture figure than an athlete. He still has that vibe, but proposing was a smart move. This way, we might avoid yet another Taylor Swift heartbreak album.
