Pastor alerts California parents: Democrats are targeting children

Jack Hibbs, a pastor from Calvary Chapel, has raised concerns among Californians about the possible need to flee from what he describes as a “Democrat cult.” His warnings suggest a drastic change in the cultural landscape of America. It makes you pause, doesn’t it? When someone with four decades of community service, like Hibbs, starts discussing refuge, perhaps it’s time to consider how far we’ve drifted as a nation.

“If you don’t wake up, there’s no country at all,” he states, a stark reminder of how serious the situation has become. It’s alarming, really, that leaders can even contemplate such extreme measures. I mean, the CEO who seemingly ran cracker barrel into the ground might just take a child from a conservative state if given the opportunity. Isn’t that something? Conservatives roll their eyes at the absurdity of it, pointing fingers at the church instead. It’s a strange place to be—caught between frustration and a sense of powerlessness. Instead of stirring to action, many seem to have settled in a state of confusion.

Is America still a Christian nation?

Take Larry Arnn, for instance, the president of Hillsdale University. He recently expressed skepticism about the possibility of a Christian state in the U.S., something I find puzzling. I admire Arnn’s work in conservative thinking, but if foundations of that thought fail to confront current realities, shouldn’t we question their relevance?

Since 2020, it feels like we’ve barely been holding it together as a nation. Arnn, I think, is too comfortable in his ideals—yet the re-election of someone like Donald Trump is regarded by some as the only thing keeping us from chaos.

But why is it that Trump seems more proactive on pressing matters than many churches today? Who will step in to fill that gap? Who will confront the muddled truths of our society? These are the pressing issues of the moment, and yet many Christian leaders seem stuck debating trivialities, as if pondering how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

The struggle continues

Even with the victories since the 2024 election, the fight is far from over. We’re grappling with serious concerns—one being the alarming trend of policies that seem intent on separating children from their families. It’s absurd, almost surreal, yet it has become part of everyday discourse.

Our society’s approach to civil rights often doesn’t align with genuine obligations, as highlighted by Kirk Cameron in his recent discussions. He pointed out that non-religious communities have come to recognize and live out biblical principles better than many established churches. That’s distressing to think about.

We must awaken and reward those who stand for truth, punishing the evildoers. Otherwise, we risk losing everything. Ideas about an uncertain future shouldn’t be shrugged off lightly—they should spark rebellion in us. It’s imperative to take action, to halt the tide of negativity.

We need more voices like Jack Hibbs, truly.
