Trump and RFK: Their positions on the vaccine debate

RFK Jr. Makes Waves in Washington with Bold Decisions

Health and Human Services Secretary RFK Jr. is stirring things up in Washington by cutting vaccine funding, challenging entrenched pharmaceutical companies, and removing certain firearms from the U.S. market.

His recent actions were highlighted in a Newsweek article.

In discussing the handling of Covid, RFK remarked, “Despite the unfortunate global situation, we accomplished a remarkable feat. The work we did never received the credit it deserved. Warp Speed is often cited as one of the greatest political or military achievements ever.” He emphasized that, even internationally, figures like Putin acknowledged the unprecedented speed of operation and execution, stating it was indeed impressive.

According to Jill Savage, a host at Blaze TV, there seems to be a significant shift at HHS, saying, “It appears they’ve removed some vaccines from circulation, indicating they’re not suitable for children or pregnant women. Sometimes, information just leaks out.” She also mentioned how Donald Trump reacted at a recent press conference, implying expectation from his side.

Christopher Bedford pointed out, “This seems like an amateur move by HHS, especially when navigating dealings with Trump, which is quite different than with most others.”

Bedford recalled a situation with the Secretary of Defense, highlighting how Trump had postponed military aid to Ukraine, something on the president’s agenda, but timing was critical in negotiations with Russia and Ukraine.

In Bedford’s view, RFK’s strategy might be overreaching. He suggested that perhaps a warning would have been wiser, or leaking information to more liberal reporters could have better paved the way. “It’s about understanding the channels and persuading the president, which this approach doesn’t accomplish,” he explained. “This is how people actually end up losing their jobs,” he added.
