Jan Ravnik Joins “Dancing With the Stars”
Jan Ravnik, known for his role as a dancer in Taylor Swift’s ERAS tour, has officially joined the cast of “Dancing With the Stars” for season 34. This news was revealed on “Good Morning America,” just two days after Swift shared news about her engagement to Travisquerce.
Ravnik quickly gained popularity during the ERAS tour, with clips of him and the other dancers going viral on social media. He expressed gratitude to Swift for what he called a life-changing experience. In posts on Instagram, he reflected on performing in sold-out stadiums and sharing the stage with talented individuals.
During the tour, Ravnik thanked Swift for raising the bar and pushing everyone to excel. He mentioned how those experiences were some of the most memorable of his life, leading to personal growth.
Interestingly, the choreography for the ERAS tour was created by Mandy Moore, who has also been a guest judge on “Dancing With the Stars.” She expressed excitement about collaborating with Swift and shared the challenges of the workload but noted it was a rewarding experience.
Ravnik is celebrated not just for his work with Swift but also has an extensive dance background, having performed with stars like Mariah Carey and Bruno Mars. He’s received multiple championships and accolades in the dance world, showcasing his impressive skills beyond pop performances.
Recently, Ravnik worked on a modern routine with Jenna Johnson, a fellow “DWTS” champion, which garnered positive feedback from other professionals in the competition.
Amid excitement about his casting, there have been rumors that Ravnik is taking the place of veteran dancer Gleb Savchenko, although sources indicate he’s simply a new addition, not a replacement. The complete roster for season 34 will be announced on September 3.
Among the celebrities confirmed to compete are wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin, influencer Alix Earl, and Jen Affleck. Irwin and Earl were spotted leaving rehearsals in Los Angeles, with Earl sharing her excitement on social media about meeting her partner soon.
The season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” is set for September 16 on ABC and Disney+. Stay tuned for more updates related to the dance competition.
