President Trump has demanded that ABC News dismiss Donna Brazil after she criticized his administration. Following a multi-million dollar settlement, he suggested that the network should face further financial repercussions.

This criticism came shortly after Brazil’s appearance on a show, where Trump dismissed the former vice president Kamala Harris’s reduced Secret Service protections as “minor” and “vindictive.”

Throughout her segment, Brazil took aim at Trump’s trade policies, indicating that his tariffs have introduced uncertainties that Americans simply can’t afford.

Trump expressed his disapproval of Brazil in a social media post, asking why she was still associated with ABC. “Did she not completely undermine the crooked Hillary Clinton when she leaked the discussion questions?” he questioned, referring to her past actions.

He insisted that ABC should sever its relationship not only with Brazil but also with Chris Christie, implying that he still has claims for damages against the network.

“Why would ABC ‘News’ employ someone like her?” he wrote, alluding to a past interview with Megyn Kelly as an example of the network’s failures.

Trump referred to Brazil, along with Christie, as part of a flawed news system, criticizing a $16 million settlement the network paid. This payment stemmed from comments made on air about Trump’s alleged misconduct.

After the settlement, the network publicly apologized and committed to donating to Trump’s presidential library.

The former president has increased his critique of mainstream media, alleging conspiracies against him. Just last week, he voiced concerns regarding the Federal Communications Commission’s potential actions against ABC and NBC for bias.

At 65, Brazil has often stirred controversy, notably resigning as DNC chair in 2016 after emails revealed she had shared questions with Clinton’s campaign. After her ties with CNN severed, she returned to TV as an expert and joined ABC News in 2019.

During her latest broadcast, she reiterated her stance on Trump’s actions regarding Harris’s Secret Service detail, framing it as both petty and harmful to public safety. She also cautioned that Trump’s tariffs could worsen America’s economic vulnerabilities.

Christie, once an ally of Trump’s, has frequently engaged in public disputes with him since the fallout after the 2020 election.

Brazil’s recent remarks brought further tension, especially considering Trump’s previous hints to investigate Christie’s involvement in past scandals.

ABC News, along with its parent company Disney, was approached for comment regarding the ongoing situation, though Brazil herself declined to respond.
