Ilhan Omar’s Net Worth Reaches $30 Million
According to recent financial disclosures, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s net worth has surged up to $30 million over the past year.
The 2025 disclosures, initially reported by Washington Free Beacon, indicate that Omar and her husband, Tim Minnett, have a net worth ranging between $6 million and $30 million. This increase comes despite her past claims that she isn’t a billionaire. The bulk of her wealth is attributed to two businesses: Mynett, a winery based in California, and a venture capital firm.
Interestingly, previous disclosures from late 2023 valued these businesses at only $51,000, highlighting minimal growth into the following year.
This new financial information is unveiled after years of Omar attempting to downplay or outright deny her personal wealth in media interviews.
“Since being elected, there has been a coordinated right-wing disinformation campaign that claims all sorts of wild things about my wealth,” Omar remarked to Business Insider earlier this year. “I’m not a billionaire,” she reiterated shortly after.
In February, she encouraged critics to look into her public financial statements for transparency.
Omar’s team has not yet responded to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
In the wake of recent school shootings in Minnesota, Omar has been vocal about her stance on gun control. On a recent appearance on CNN’s “The State of the Union,” she advocated for the removal of assault weapons, underlining the importance of community safety.
“It’s essential that we explore various solutions,” Omar told CNN anchor Brianna Keilar. “First, we need to focus on removing offensive weapons from our communities.”
