Jannik Sinner sent a 'revenge' message to Anna Wintour and followed through decisively.

Italian tennis sensation Jannik Sinner recently made headlines by advancing to the US Open Quarter Finals, with former “Vogue” editor Anna Wintour reportedly in attendance. He won decisively against Alexander Bublik, with a score of 6-1, 6-1, and 6-1 on Monday night.

Prior to the match, Sinner interacted with Wintour and actor Rami Malek on the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“It’s time for revenge,” the 24-year-old athlete declared, flashing a grin.

Earlier this June, he faced a tough loss to Bublik in a pre-Wimbledon tournament held in Halle, Germany.

This time, with 16 aces, Sinner avenged that defeat in just one hour and 21 minutes against the 23rd-ranked player.

He was also spotted alongside various celebrities, including Malek, as he soaked up the atmosphere before his crucial match.

Interestingly, Wintour had stepped down in June after 37 years as chief editor of the publication.

Sinner is on a mission to be the first player to clinch back-to-back titles at the US Open since Roger Federer did so from 2004 to 2008, and his next challenge is against Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

“Overall, I’m really pleased. Playing a night match here for the first time this year makes such a significant difference.”

Buzz is also swirling around Sinner’s rumored relationship with Danish model Laila Hasanovic as they were recently spotted together after his win against Denis Shapovalov. Observant fans noted that his phone wallpaper featured a picture of her, although neither has publicly commented on the relationship.

He previously confirmed a breakup with fellow tennis player Anna Karinskaya at a press conference during the Italian Open in May.
