Trump responds to unfounded rumors about his death, stating he was ‘very active over the weekend’

President Trump addressed unusual rumors circulating on social media regarding his well-being, insisting to reporters in the Oval Office that he was “very active” during Labor Day weekend and labeling the speculation as “fake news.”

Concerns about Trump’s health spiked after the White House released a schedule that did not include any public events for the holiday weekend. Hashtags like “#TrumpisDead” and “#WhereIstrump” began trending on X as malicious snippets of information surfaced.

The announcement of Trump’s light holiday schedule came just four days after his last public appearance at a Cabinet meeting.

“I didn’t do anything for two days, and they said, ‘There must be something wrong with him,’” Trump remarked, reflecting on the conspiracy theories during an interview.

Trump added, “I was very active over the weekend. I went out to visit some people at a club that I own nearby on the Potomac River.”

A photo from Saturday showed the president in a golf outfit, complete with his signature red MAGA hat.

At 79 years old, Trump took a moment to poke fun at his predecessor, 82-year-old Joe Biden, as he stood alongside Vice President J.D. Vance and Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.), both sharing a laugh about Biden’s state.

“You can’t miss him,” Trump jested, hinting at Biden’s physical demeanor.

Rumors about Trump’s health have been fueled by photos that seemed to show bruising on his hand over recent months. White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt explained that Trump has a “benign and common condition” known as chronic vascular insufficiency (CVI) and attributed any bruising to “frequent handshakes and aspirin use.”
