Search warrant shows what authorities took from John Bolton’s residence

Search warrant reveals what feds seized at John Bolton's home

FBI Raid on John Bolton’s Home

Recently, federal agents conducted a search at the home of former national security adviser John Bolton, seizing numerous documents, several computers, phones, a hard drive, and a binder labeled “Statement and Reflection on the Alliance’s Strike,” according to newly released court records.

Bolton, a prominent critic of President Trump, has not faced any criminal charges and was not arrested during the FBI operation in Bethesda on August 22.

The court filing details items collected by the Justice Department during the search and attempts to maintain their confidentiality. A video that surfaced online captured an FBI agent in a jacket removing multiple boxes from Bolton’s residence.

Among the inventory of items gathered during the search were two iPhones belonging to Bolton, documents in a folder marked “Trump I-IV,” and four boxes of his daily activity records. Additionally, authorities seized two USB drives, two laptops, and a desktop computer.

Bolton served as Trump’s national security adviser from April 2018 until September 2019, when tensions culminated in his dismissal via a social media announcement from the president, who cited their differences as the cause of the fallout.

Trump revoked Bolton’s security clearance at the start of his second administration in January, asserting he was unaware of the FBI’s search plans before it occurred on August 22.

Trump remarked, “He’s not a smart guy, but he could be a very unpatriotic guy,” while stating that he had no prior knowledge about the FBI operation, noting he had seen reports of the raid that morning.

In a commentary following the incident, Bolton expressed that the second Trump administration appears to be attempting to disguise the turmoil surrounding its actions. He drew parallels between the situation and Trump’s approach to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict, stating, “Donald Trump’s Ukrainian policy today is not as consistent as last Friday when his administration executed a search warrant against my home and office.”
