Residents in Williamsburg usually delight in their famous neighbors.
This week, however, even the most laid-back Brooklynites were taken aback to spot the new couple, Harry Styles and Zoe Kravitz, walking together in the area.
One source from Hollywood mentioned it was quite a surprise, suggesting it felt like going from zero to sixty. A friend in the music industry, who has worked with Styles, indicated that it wasn’t just a fleeting moment for them.
“Dating as a celebrity is really tough… If Harry’s made this public with Zoe, there’s definitely more to it,” the source remarked. “But, it’s early days for them, and they’re just enjoying each other’s company.”
That said, the source also noted, “Harry doesn’t put labels on things like this.”
Styles, now 31, has been taking a break from the limelight following his extensive two-year world tour, which wrapped up in Italy in July 2023.
Friends mentioned that the former One Direction member, who is rumored to have new music in the works for next year, wants to live a more ordinary life. “He enjoys just being able to wander around Brooklyn, trying to stay low-key if he can; it’s not his usual lifestyle,” a friend shared.
He often visits a coffee shop near his North London residence and even participated in the Tokyo Marathon earlier this year, where he was spotted wearing a playful baseball cap.
There were also whispers that Styles took some time during his break to focus on personal grooming.
Neither Styles nor Kravitz’s representatives responded to requests for comments.
On Labor Day, Styles was seen attending a wedding in Paris, where he seemed to charm guests, as noted by a fellow attendee on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Kravitz, 36, who was previously engaged to Channing Tatum, has been spotted out and about in Williamsburg frequently, especially after a romantic outing in Rome not too long ago.
Kravitz has lived in Williamsburg for years and has shared her home with Tatum, whom she became engaged to in 2023 after their initial appearance together in 2021. She directed a project they worked on together last October.
Previously, Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glassman between 2019 and 2020.
Just weeks ago, she seemed quite close to Austin Butler at a film premiere, adding to the speculation about her romantic life.
This is Styles’ most talked-about romance since his high-profile two-year relationship with Olivia Wilde, which wrapped up in late 2022. That relationship was notably complicated, as it coincided with Wilde’s split from Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares children.
Although no one has directly addressed the rumors surrounding Styles and Kravitz, it’s clear that both have been navigating the dating scene with various connections.
