Transgender Model Rejoins Victoria's Secret Angels for 2025 Fashion Show

The excitement is palpable! Alex Consani, identifying as a woman, is celebrating the news of becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel for the 2025 runway show.

“I can’t stop smiling! I’m overjoyed to work with such a talented team, even if I have to deal with some challenging personalities!” Consani shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the latest Victoria’s Secret photo shoot, including a package of “tuck kits” meant to make things less noticeable.

According to reports, Consani made a splash on the Victoria’s Secret runway last year, becoming one of the first transgender individuals to walk alongside Valentina Sampaio, who also made history as the first trans model featured in the show.

In addition to his work with Victoria’s Secret, Consani modeled for iconic brands like Chanel and Stella McCartney last year. He also made history by being the first transgender nominee to win Model of the Year at the 2024 Fashion Awards in London.

“I am the first trans woman to receive this honor,” he said, earning applause from the audience during the ceremony.

“But I can’t accept this award without acknowledging those who paved the way for me, especially the black trans women who fought for this recognition,” Consani continued.

He expressed gratitude to his parents for their unwavering support since he expressed an interest in modeling at just 12 years old.

“That’s something many other parents of trans kids could consider,” he added.

With a rising presence on TikTok, where he has amassed over 6 million followers, Consani joined IMG Models in 2019 and made his debut on Tom Ford’s runway in 2021.

The Model of the Year winner will be decided by a panel of industry experts, along with popular voting. Contenders must have made a significant impact globally in the past year and have notably influenced the industry.

In 2023, black transgender model Kaii Zaya Jamal was in the running for Model of the Year, but plus-size model Paloma El Sesser took home the award.
