A recent photo reveals a significant scar on Joe Biden’s head, following his skin cancer surgery.
The 82-year-old former president was spotted leaving St. Joseph’s Church in Delaware after Saturday Mass.
Just last week, he was seen without the bandages, showcasing the injury.
On the following day, Jill Biden was spotted heading to a spin class in southeastern Pennsylvania, wearing a lighthearted “Seas the Day” t-shirt as she exited the Cycology studio.
New images of Joe Biden suggest that his scar is healing well.
After a photo surfaced showing his injury, Biden’s team had to confirm that he underwent MOHS surgery to address skin cancer.
This type of surgery involves removing skin layers until all cancerous cells are eliminated.
It remains unclear exactly when Biden had the procedure; he was also seen with the injury last month at the funeral of Mike Castle, a former governor and congressman from Delaware.
Biden had previously undergone a similar surgery while in office, having removed a cancerous lesion from his chest back in February 2023. That lesion was identified as basal cell carcinoma.
Jill Biden was also photographed leaving her spin class on a rainy day.
In May, Biden disclosed that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.
His medical team maintains that the prostate cancer is “hormonally sensitive” and can be managed effectively.
Experts note that while the cancer may be manageable, a complete recovery is unlikely.
It seems that Biden’s prostate cancer went undetected during his time as president, as public records suggest he did not undergo testing for it due to his age.
In February 2024, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who has consistently treated Biden, declared him “fit to serve” after a routine examination.
Later that year, Biden faced scrutiny regarding his cognitive abilities amid a challenging performance against Donald Trump in June 2024.
The GOP-led House Oversight Committee is currently probing whether there are any concerns about Biden’s mental acuity and the use of an autopen for signing documents.
A significant investigation has been initiated, with 12 former officials from the Biden administration recently summoned to provide insights.
