Ex-Wall Street Professional Creates LinkedIn-like App for Christians in Ministry and Churches

Alicialy Launches Christian Alternative Mobile App

Alicialy, who has a background on Wall Street, recently shared that she felt compelled by a divine call to create a Christian-focused platform. She and her team introduced the Faithful Song mobile app, as reported by Christian Post during a meeting in Nashville, Tennessee last week. The app aims to connect pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, and others in the religious community, offering job opportunities, event planning, and group support.

“The Lord urged me to think of this as a LinkedIn for those serving in the church,” Lee said, who is a co-founder and CEO of Faithful and an elder at Lower Manhattan Community Church in New York City. She mentioned that the idea for the company came from what she describes as a “vision from the Lord.”

Interestingly, Lee admits she doesn’t have prior experience in this type of work; her career spans nearly 20 years at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street.

What is Faithful?

Lee emphasized that Faithful isn’t just another social media platform. It’s distinctly different from common social media, framing itself as a space dedicated to the needs of the Christian community. “It’s not about sharing family photos or making connections in a conventional sense,” she added. “Faithful connects us through our common goal of serving the church.”

The mobile app was launched after gathering around 3,000 users in its initial year, following its desktop debut. Reflecting on the journey, Lee noted, “We were developing something unique, so we maintained a low profile for the first few years to ensure thoughtful execution.” Now, she feels ready to embrace a wider audience, stating, “That’s why we’re participating in key ministry events.” She believes the reception for Faithful will be quite positive.

“I was actually surprised to find nothing else like this out there,” she remarked.

Why Alicia Lee Launched Faithful

In a past statement, Lee explained her motivation behind launching Faithful. “For almost 20 years, platforms like LinkedIn have been vital for various professional sectors, including medicine and education. Yet, ministry—a deeply relevant and trust-driven vocation—lacks a dedicated digital space. I felt there was a strong need to change that.” She highlighted the pressures that pastors face and how they are often overworked, struggling with mental health challenges.

“These individuals are shouldering the spiritual weight of their communities and really deserve better support systems,” she asserted. “We think the church deserves the same level of digital tools that benefit other professions. Faithful is more than just an app—it’s a movement. When ministry leaders receive necessary support, communities at large benefit, too.”
