Dan Turrentine Claims Democratic Staffers Who Call ‘Trump Is Hitler’ Admitted They Appreciate Trump’s Actions in DC

Democrats React to Trump’s Crime Measures

During a morning meeting on Wednesday, former Democratic strategist Dan Trenne shared that several staff members from far-off left circles in Washington, D.C., expressed gratitude for President Donald Trump’s efforts to combat crime.

After Trump deployed the National Guard in August and implemented various measures, the district reported no murders for nearly two weeks, with a significant drop in other violent crimes. Trenne noted that Democrats are struggling to communicate publicly about the situation, as they wish to avoid seeming to praise Trump.

“It’s incredible that just a couple of days in D.C. brought Democrats together,” Trenne remarked. “I spoke with a few staffers who said, ‘It was refreshing to see Union Station bustling again and to notice all the people there, including those experiencing homelessness.’ It’s a bit contradictory, right? These folks often voice strong opposition to Trump but were taken aback by the positive changes.”

“Most people are advising their team: ‘Just keep quiet about this. Don’t acknowledge it publicly.’ They recognize that it works, yet they’re hesitant to give Trump credit,” he continued. “It’s interesting how tangled they are in their own positions.”

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser also expressed appreciation for the influx of law enforcement at a press conference on August 27. She stated, “We’re thankful for the additional resources that bolster what the Metropolitan Police Department could achieve… The federal involvement has led to an 87% reduction in carjackings during this period compared to last year.”

Bowser later signed an order on September 2, instructing local law enforcement to maintain collaboration with federal agencies even after Trump’s public safety emergency declaration.

White House officials reported over 130 arrests made in the capital on Tuesday evening, covering various violent crimes, including assaults with dangerous weapons and assaults on police officers. The total number of arrests throughout the crackdown reached 2,310.

Transport Secretary Sean Duffy announced on August 27 that his department would take direct control of Union Station. According to WJLA reporter John Gonzalez, the station has never looked better.
