While many expressed sadness or thoughtful reflections, a significant number of commenters reveled in Kirk’s death, with some voicing disappointment about the president’s decision to posthumously award him.
One commenter, Guido Falconi, sarcastically questioned whether Kirk would receive a “participation trophy for dying.” Another user, Ronnie Hbr Wilson, lamented that “Charlie can never wear it.”

Olivia Rondow from Breitbart pointed out a particularly unsettling post from a Florida anesthesiologist who expressed satisfaction over Kirk’s demise.
As of Thursday, the FBI has released photos of individuals involved in the assassination, urging the public for assistance, with the identities of the shooters still unknown.
