ST. GEORGE, Utah – The roommate of a suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA, reportedly expressed strong anti-conservative sentiments. A relative shared with Fox News Digital that the 22-year-old roommate claimed, “I hate conservatives and Christians.” This individual has not been charged, and their name remains undisclosed. According to family members, this person is romantically involved with Tyler Robinson, also 22, who is in the process of transitioning from male to female.
The relative, who wished to stay anonymous, noted that their behavior shifted significantly after turning 18. They recalled instances of expressing dislike for Christians and conservatives, which seemed to change how family members interacted with him.
The relative stated, “He hates conservatives and Christians. He wasn’t raised that way, but over the years, he grew apart from us… It’s radical.” The relative also reflected on how over the past couple of years, the individual seems to have become angrier.
Speculation suggests that Robinson’s political views might have been shaped further by this relationship, especially considering they have been together for a year. The relative speculated, “I think Tyler has gotten much worse since they started dating. They’re both big into gaming, and there’s definitely a group influencing them. But I kind of feel like [the roommate] has had a bigger impact.”
“Everyone in my family is seeking justice,” the relative emphasized, expressing a desire to remain uninvolved in the unfolding situation and wanting accountability for those involved.
Reportedly, an FBI official conveyed that the roommate appeared “very supportive” and seemed unaware of any plans related to Kirk’s assassination. The two shared an apartment in St. George, Utah.
Previous reports indicated that it was Robinson’s father who reported him to authorities after the FBI identified his image on surveillance footage.
