Denise Richards and her separated husband disagree over the terms of their $3.5M house

Tensions Rise in Denise Richards’ Divorce Battle

The conflict between Denise Richards and her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, appears to be escalating. On Thursday, reports surfaced detailing the state of a $3.5 million mansion Richards allegedly left in disarray, with claims of a bedroom filled with discarded items, dirty carpets, and a closet overrun with moths.

“This is how she left it,” Phypers commented, while also noting that he had been caring for 15 of Richards’ dogs at the property.

Phypers Responds to Abuse Allegations

Phypers claimed that Richards’ vintage clothing worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was also damaged by moths, as shown during a walkthrough of his closet.

In legal documents, Richards contended she hadn’t lived in the house for over two years, alleging that Phypers and his family were “left home in turmoil and confused.” Video evidence from August showed the property’s condition. Richards recounted an incident where she went to the home while the Phypers family was away, and said she was prevented from leaving by having her car’s tires blocked. His parents, she stated, attempted to detain her until the family returned.

Richards indicated that, after agreeing the dogs should stay while one recovered from surgery, she faced hurdles recovering both her pets and personal belongings. Court documents revealed that Aaron had denied her access.

During a court hearing on September 8, Richards was granted permission to return to the mansion to collect her items without violating a restraining order.

She reiterated her right to recover both her dog and personal property, while the court stressed that Phypers should not interfere with that access.

So far, Richards’ representatives haven’t made any public comments regarding the matter.

Allegations of Abuse Surface

Richards had previously obtained a temporary restraining order against Phypers amid their ongoing divorce, citing multiple instances of violence in court filings. She detailed incidents of physical aggression, including being violently restrained and threatened with death.

In her declaration, Richards expressed fear regarding reporting the abuse, as she believed doing so would provoke further threats against her life.

Phypers has consistently denied these allegations, stating in a prior interview that he never physically or emotionally abused Richards and describing the claims as entirely false. He expressed a desire for privacy during this difficult time for both parties, hoping the media would refrain from spreading unverified accusations.

Phypers filed for divorce from Richards on July 7, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal support from the reality star.
