First Lady Melania Trump made an appearance at a U.S. Kingdom State University dinner on Wednesday, donning a vibrant gown by Carolina Herrera paired with stunning emerald and diamond earrings.
The state dinner at Windsor Castle featured Melania in an off-shoulder design from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection of Carolina Herrera, reminiscent of similar silhouettes and color schemes.
The yellow gown, accentuated with a wide purple belt, is reminiscent of the early designs by Yves Saint Laurent, famous for its bold color blocking.
To enhance her look, Mrs. Trump chose oversized emerald and diamond earrings that look like they could belong in a royal collection.
An editor I spoke with pointed out that President Trump stood out in a white tie suit, quite a rare choice for American events but more common in British dinners.
“His outfit included a cutaway tail coat, a wing-collared shirt, a bow tie, a waistcoat, and high-waisted black pants decorated with double stripes,” he shared.
Earlier that day, Mrs. Trump was also seen in a Dior Haute Couture outfit featuring a charcoal suit complemented with a wide-brimmed plum hat and matching stiletto heels.
For the evening, Princess Catherine wore a hand-wrapped Chantilly lace evening coat paired with a silk crepe gown and royal jewelry that included the beloved lover’s knot tiara, which had personal significance to the late Princess Diana.
It seems like the royal events are always a mix of tradition and personal flair. Each detail, from the outfits to the jewelry, tells a story, doesn’t it?
