Vice President JD Vance Speaks Out on Charlie Kirk’s Murder
Vice President JD Vance shared strong criticisms during a recent appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” addressing those who question the motives behind the murder of Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk. He firmly attributed Kirk’s death to what he sees as the “political radicalization of the left.”
“My friend is dead due to political radicalization of the left,” Vance passionately stated. He urged those in denial to “be honest about it and see yourself in the mirror.”
Vance Highlights Uniformity in Responses
According to court documents, Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin, was described by his mother as having become “more political,” actively supporting “pro-gay and trans rights.” On Tuesday, Utah County District Attorney Jeff Gray revealed messages from Robinson indicating a desire to kill Kirk, stating, “Some hatred cannot be negotiated.”
Robinson faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, with Utah prosecutors seeking the death penalty.
Conversations Surrounding the Death Penalty Resurface
As discussions about Robinson’s motivations continue, Vance emphasized that this incident isn’t a divide between political sides. “This was someone who grew up in a rather normal family,” he pointed out, noting how he was radicalized by extreme left ideologies, ultimately leading to Kirk’s tragic death.
Vance also reflected on the troubling fact that some individuals are celebrating Kirk’s assassination. He suggested that those who express joy over such a tragedy shouldn’t be shielded from consequences like losing their jobs.
Pondering the Nature of Celebration
“You’d have to ask, how could you find joy in the death of a grieving mother’s child?” Vance remarked, questioning the mindset of those reveling in Kirk’s demise. On Monday, he dedicated an episode of “The Charlie Kirk Show” to honor his late friend, asserting he wouldn’t be in office without Kirk.
Vance recalled transporting Kirk’s remains from Utah to Arizona on Air Force 2. “It requires team effort, and Charlie was part of that team,” Vance reflected.

Turning Point USA is set to host a memorial for Charlie Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Arizona this Sunday.
