Angel Reese Reflects on WNBA Season

This WNBA season has certainly been one of “many lessons” for Angel Reese, the standout Forward for the Chicago Sky.

She recently joined Instagram, and as her sophomore season wrapped up dramatically, she took a moment to reflect on her growth and experiences. It seems she’s been enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation in a beautiful location.

In her Instagram post, Reese shared, “It’s the second year. You taught me a lot. You taught me a lot of lessons. You showed a lot of growth. You fought through so many adversities. And yet you still win, still appear, God has a plan for you. This is just the beginning.”

Along with her heartfelt message, Reese celebrated being named the 2025 rebound leader, averaging an impressive 12.6 rebounds per game this season.

As a first-round pick from LSU in 2024, the 23-year-old averaged 14.7 points and 3.7 rebounds over 30 games with the Sky. Unfortunately, it was a challenging year for the team, ending the season with a record of 10-34. Reese has made it clear she’s vocal about the changes she believes are necessary for the team’s direction.

She stated, “I’m very vocal about what we need and what I want. I want to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, I might have to move in a different direction. But while I’m here, I’ll open up to what I have here and try to maximize as much as I can.”

Reese later expressed regret to her teammates for her earlier comments after a tough game against ACES, in which she was sidelined in the first half. The WNBA had previously penalized her with an eighth technical foul this season.

On a more positive note, she seems to be enjoying some downtime in a tropical setting, sharing several snaps on Instagram. One post captured a stunning view of the water, with her captioning it, “This is everything you need. I am so grateful and grateful to the man of this life.”

As for her future with the Sky, general manager Jeff Pagliocca recently indicated that, as far as he knows, she’s still part of their plans, saying, “Until I hear it differently, that’s what we’re moving in. She’s on the roster.”
