Kanye West’s Emotional Confrontation with Kris Jenner
Kanye West had an emotional exchange with Kris Jenner during a discussion about his medication, featured in his new documentary “Whose name?”
In a tense moment, the Grammy-winning artist expressed feeling more dead than alive if it meant taking the medication. He bluntly claimed, “Y’all blamed me and made me feel like an S-T. And the only reason you ran away with it is because I took the medicine.”
Jenner, in response, urged him to take his medication, attempting to maintain a calm demeanor. The conversation escalated when West shouted that his family’s actions weren’t responsible for his hospital visits, accusing them of misrepresenting his situation online. “Am I lying?” he demanded.
As Jenner assured him that their family’s feelings mattered more than internet perceptions, West’s frustration grew. He insisted, “That’s important!” while asserting that Jenner hadn’t let him finish his thoughts. Jenner emphasized the emotional weight the family carried regarding his situation.
Distraught, Jenner was brought to tears as West expressed his feelings, grabbing a grey sweatshirt and a red hat from the kitchen. He then asked her pointedly, “So, what do you think? Did you affect my mental health?”
Through her tears, Jenner replied, “Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I love you. I love you. I love you. I don’t want you to be not perfect.” She reassured him that their family dynamics were pivotal for his mental health.
Jenner went on to express her desire for her daughter, Kim Kardashian, to love West the way he wished to be loved. West and Kardashian, who married in 2014 and share four children, divorced in 2022. During their marriage, West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, later revealing he also has autism.
Kardashian also appears in the documentary, which shows clips from their past. She remarked, “Your personality wasn’t like this a few years ago,” highlighting the changes they have experienced over time. At another moment, she suggested they discuss things later, prompting West to assert, “That’s not a no!”
The documentary, which chronicles various aspects of West’s life, was filmed over several years, from 2019 to 2025. Recently, West has also been in the spotlight for his relationship with Bianca Censori, an architectural designer, who, while not featured in the documentary, is a significant part of his life now.
“Whose name?” premiered in select theaters on Friday.
