Family of teen discovered in D4vd's Tesla starts GoFundMe to assist with burial expenses

The family of a 15-year-old girl, whose body was discovered in a car linked to singer D4VD, is seeking financial help for her burial as Los Angeles detectives are treating her death as a homicide.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who had been reported missing last year, was identified after her body was found in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to D4VD.

Recently, her neighbors set up a GoFundMe page to assist her family.

“She was my beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend,” stated Esmeralda Lozano and Gisel Vera, the campaign organizers. “Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are asking for help to give her a proper resting place.”

According to police, the Tesla was later towed from a location near a house in Hollywood Hills where the 20-year-old artist—whose real name is David Anthony Burke—had been staying. Investigators executed a search warrant at that residence.

The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is handling the case as a murder investigation, yet no suspects have been identified or arrests made.

A representative for D4VD mentioned that he is “fully cooperating with authorities,” and multiple sources have indicated that he is not a suspect in Celeste’s death.

Details regarding any past relationship between Celeste and the singer remain vague.

Unverified screenshots from a Discord fan server suggest that Rivas Hernandez might have been in a relationship with someone named “Celeste” before her disappearance.

Additionally, some photos have emerged of D4VD with a young woman who closely resembles Rivas Hernandez, whose images were shared on a “missing” poster in 2024.

In an interview, Celeste’s mother remarked that she had been dating someone named David prior to her going missing.

The previous year, D4VD released an unreleased track that mentioned the name “Celeste” more than once.

Authorities reported that Celeste’s body was discovered on September 8 after receiving complaints about a foul odor coming from the Tesla’s front trunk. It appears the body had been there for a considerable amount of time, showing signs of decomposition.

Officials have confirmed Celeste was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024 when she was just 14 years old.

The Tesla had been towed from the vicinity of the rentals connected to the singer as detectives continued to piece together Celeste’s last movements.

After her identification, D4VD canceled the remaining dates of his U.S. tour, which included a performance in San Francisco. Industry reports indicate that he has also canceled additional planned events.

As of Friday afternoon, the GoFundMe initiative had raised over $14,000, with a target of $20,000, and numerous people have contributed to support Celeste’s family.
